A therapist and coach dedicated to your holistic health.
Amber Bowers, LPCC-S
I’m Amber, the founder of Bowers Counseling & Wellness. I’m a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor, Certified NET Practitioner, Wellness Coach, and Eating Disorder Specialist. My work is rooted in the belief that healing happens when we look at the whole person—mind, body, emotion, and spirit. I offer virtual sessions worldwide and in-person sessions at Salty here in Chardon, Ohio.
My approach goes beyond traditional talk therapy. I explore and test the body’s responses, uncover patterns, and connect dots that often go unnoticed in standard care. When needed, I collaborate with other providers to ensure that every piece of the puzzle is addressed. Many of my clients arrive after trying everything and still feeling stuck. That’s usually where our work begins—because symptoms often have deeper roots than they appear to.
This passion comes from my own experience. After having mono in high school, I struggled with years of unexplained fatigue and misdiagnoses. I often felt dismissed, unseen, or left to figure things out on my own. That led me to search relentlessly—to study holistic approaches, neuroscience, somatic therapies, and new ways of working with the body’s wisdom. What I found not only helped me heal—it transformed how I work with others.
Today, I support clients with compassion, honesty, and curiosity. I believe in staying real, using humor when it fits, and honoring the body’s innate ability to heal. Whether we’re exploring generational trauma, emotional patterns, or physical symptoms with no clear explanation, we’re always working toward the same goal: connecting the story beneath the struggle.
Outside of my practice, I’m a nature-loving “crunchy” mom to three young kids and married to a like-minded husband—a former military service member and current police officer who shares my passion for holistic living. We’ve lived in Ohio, Tennessee, and Michigan, and we feel most at home outdoors.
If you’re looking for a different kind of support—one that sees the whole person—I’d love to connect.
I’m here to help.
